I was twenty-one when everything changed.

My mother survived a life-altering accident that changed both of our lives in ways we could never have imagined. The deeply intertwined mother-daughter relationship we had always known slowly gave way to a quiet and unfamiliar distance.

My mother would never be the same again and with that came grief.

​

In the emptiness that followed, I felt untethered.

 

By 2023, my mother was doing better and for the first time in years, I allowed myself to begin again. 

I longed for new horizons. I went searching for light, freedom and a new breath of life.

​

At twenty-seven, I left my family and everything familiar behind to move to Bondi Beach, Sydney, where one of the most beautiful and transformative chapters of my life unfolded.

 

I moved into an apartment just minutes from the beach and quickly fell in love with this new way of living. The ocean was always there in the distance and its presence felt almost sacred.

Ever-changing, yet endlessly faithful to itself.

​

I would wake before sunrise, sit in silence and watch the sun slowly rise above the ocean, bringing with it the promise of a new day.

​

Under the Australian light, I discovered a version of myself I had never known before. Learning to speak a new language, I was somehow also learning to speak as a woman and as an artist, for the first time.

​

I met glass sculptor Galia Amsel and began learning to shape glass with my own hands. 

Not a day went by without walking down to the sea. I started noticing how the light changed the Tasman Sea from silver to gold within the same hour and wanting for the first time, to hold onto it. 

To trust what I saw, even when I couldn’t yet explain it.
 

What began as a personal journey of healing gradually evolved into the foundation of my artistic practice. Today, the essence of this chapter continues to nourish my work. 
 

I now live between Paris, Sydney and the Mediterranean.
